FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Ordering

  • How long after I place my order will I receive my chocolate

We normally ship within 24 hours of order receipt for orders received from Sunday - Friday. This schedule changes in the summer due to high temperatures and our desire to have the chocolate arrive to our customers in the same beautiful state we package it in. In the summer we will only ship on Monday-Thursday in order to avoid the Resolute™ Chocolate sitting in a hot storage facility. All of our orders ship USPS 2 Day Delivery.

  • What happens if my chocolate arrives melted

This is seldom a problem now that we exclusively ship with USPS with 2 Day Delivery. If your chocolate arrives melted then we ask that you send us pictures with the packaging so we can determine what happened. In our desire to give you a great Resolute™ experience we will happily replace your order.

  • How should I store my chocolate?

Resolute™ Chocolate is tempered to be “room stable”. This means that at normal room temperatures, under 78°f, the chocolate stores perfectly. We do suggest that you keep it out of sunlight (windows can be dangerous to chocolate). If you would like to store your chocolate in the refrigerator, that is fine, but you may notice a slight grayish look to the surface. This is called “blooming” and is a natural response of the fat (cacao butter) to cold temperatures. Bloom does not affect the taste.

  • Does your chocolate ever go on sale?

Occasionally, we offer sales on Resolute™ Chocolate and this is why it is so important that you get on our mailing list and/or newsletter list to be informed of our latest offers.

Ingredients

  • No sugar? Is it super bitter? What does it taste like?

True, absolutely ZERO sugar. Resolute Chocolate is not bitter, although it has a “darker” more intense chocolate taste. Most chocolate in production is a variation of chocolate flavored sugar. With Resolute, you are getting TRUE & PURE chocolate flavor without astringency or bitterness. If you like dark chocolate you will find Resolute Chocolate to be a wonderfully rich and lightly sweet tasting treat.

  • Are there really no sweeteners in it? It tastes sweet to me. How do you make it taste sweet?

There are really ZERO sweeteners in Resolute™ Chocolate. We utilize the amino acid: glycine in combination with a 72 hour stone grinding process (that creates sub 15 micron chocolate particles) and double conching. This process reduces the cacao’s natural astringency and bitterness, making it smooth and creamy and “sweet tasting.”

  • What is Glycine?

Glycine is a naturally occurring amino acid. It is an important ingredient in our chocolate because glycine reacts with the naturally occurring glucose and fructose in the cacao and in the powdered whole milk and produces a “sweeter” more amplified taste in the chocolate bar (without any added sweetener)! #science

  • Will this chocolate spike my glucose?

We have tested Resolute™ Chocolate with people wearing CGM’s (Continuous Glucose Monitors) measuring the level of blood glucose minute by minute. We see only very slight rise in blood glucose in our most glucose compromised clients, Type 2 & Type 1 Diabetics. We are happy to share this data with you. Just reach out to marketing@3pillarhealth.com and we would be happy to send you the information.

  • Is it organic?

Our cacao beans are organic as well as our macadamia nuts and coconut flakes. We find these are the most important ingredients to be organically sourced.

The ingredients that are NOT technically organic include: powdered whole milk, glycine, pork rinds.

  • Is this chocolate Keto friendly?

Resolute™ Chocolate is very helpful to those on a low carbohydrate diet. It is high in good fats and very low in carbohydrates. We have information on our website demonstrating that Resolute™ Chocolate has the lowest carb count possible.

  • Are the essential oils in your chocolate safe to ingest?

Our essential oils are quite safe. They are culinary use essential oils produced for human consumption. We use them in order to add the flavor we want (Orange & Peppermint) without the added levels of carbohydrates from the fruit & herb. Also, the amount we use per serving is less than .08 drops which is almost impossible to measure outside of a laboratory setting.

  • Do you add any fillers to your chocolate?

There are ZERO fillers in Resolute™ Chocolate. We are proud of our PURE chocolate.

  • Isn't cacao high in oxalates? Is this safe for me to eat?

While it is true that cacao naturally has relatively high levels of oxalates, we have developed a processes to reduce the oxalates in Resolute™ Chocolate. We use two steps for oxalate reduction and one to negate the impact of the small amount of remaining oxalates. The first step occurs just after cacao harvest. This is fermentation. This step allows for a reduction of oxalates by ~40-50%. The second step is a low and slow roasting method, reducing the oxalates by another 10-20%. To protect against oxalates, we add calcium to our chocolate, which acts as an “escort” of oxalates out of the human body. The calcium we add is in the form of powdered milk. This combination of steps reduces the oxalate levels and the oxalate impact significantly. If you have added technical questions please reach out to drewrobbins@3pillarhealth for more information.
